Coach Kelly Shantz and his WolfPack women’s soccer team come to the end of what he called “a murderer’s row” this weekend.
The WolfPack face two of the league’s powerhouses while on the road down at the Coast.
Friday, Sept. 30, the ‘Pack will be in Victoria to take on the UVic Vikes. One night later, Oct .1, TRU pays a visit to UBC to meet the T-Birds.
The last time the — ’Pack played on that pitch was when they lost 6-1 to UBC — the eventual CIS champions — in the Canada West quarterfinals.
Victoria stands fourth in the Canada West Pacific Division with a 3-1-3 record and 12 points. UBC is right behind with a 2-14 record for 10 points. The WolfPack sit in seventh place (1-5) with three points.
After the matches, the WolfPack have a short turnaround as they entertain the UBCO Heat at Hillside Stadium for a rare Thursday night affair. That will be Oct. 6 with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
UBCO also plays Victoria and UBC this weekend.
The WolfPack matches are available on a pay-per-view basis on www.Canadawest.tv.
