KELOWNA — A Postill Lake Road resident who allegedly took matters into his own hands when two men trespassed on his property ended up being taken into police custody.

The incident happened in the late evening of Aug. 27 as police were called to the 6000 block of Postill Lake Road area after the property owner armed himself with a firearm and allegedly shot into the ground, when he confronted the supposed trespassers.

According to Const. Jesse O’Donaghey, police spoke to two men – a father and son – who appeared to be fully equipped for camping in the area.
