Toys mean more in troubled times

The Y Emergency Women’s Shelter welcomes donations of new toys or gift cards during its fifth annual Empty Toy Box campaign, which runs through August.

The campaign serves the shelter’s specific requirements. Often children in families that need to stay at the shelter have been forced to leave their favourite toys behind. Sometimes, their stays at the shelter coincides with birthdays and holidays. To receive a special gift can mean a lot at difficult times in the lives of these children.

New gifts or gift cards can be dropped off at participating local businesses listed below.
