String quartet performs at St. Andrew's

Cellist Martin Kratky joins the Sycamore String Quartet for a free concert Saturday.

Saturday is Sycamore String Quartet day, a chance to hear the string quartet up close at St. Andrew’s on the Square.

Chamber Musician of Kamloops presents the group in a free concert sponsored by the City and starting at 7:30 p.m.

The group includes some of the finest string musicians in the region, including Cvetozar Vutev (violin), Kamloops Symphony concertmaster, as well as Sarah Anderson (violin), Ashley Kroecher (viola) and Martin Kratky (cello), all regular players with the KSO.

Their performance is but one of 24 weekend events in the city linked to Culture Days this weekend. Event begin Friday night and continue through Sunday. Here’s the complete list.
