Kamloops and District Real Estate Association reported monthly results Friday showing a relatively brisk summer season continues uninterrupted.
The total value of residential property sales in the Kamloops area was up by more than 50 percent in August over the same month last year.
A total of 362 units were sold last month compared to 264 last August. Those transactions represent close to $128 million in value, up from $84 million in August 2015.
Of all neighbourhoods, Aberdeen had the most real estate sales, 43, with Brocklehurst trailing second at 30. For the most part, it remains a seller’s market except properties in the high-end range.
