Sun Peaks Resort has appointed Aidan Kelly as chief marketing officer as part of restructuring the company says will help it achieve growth in coming years.
“Sun Peaks Resort is in a very exciting phase of our continued evolution,” said Darcy Alexander, vice-president and general manager . “Coming off a record winter season and in the midst of another record setting summer season, both the short and long term outlook is extremely positive. This move helps us to improve our organizational structure as we continue taking steps forward as one of the premiere year-round destination resorts in the country.”
As well, Sun Peaks will be bringing in a new director of marketing and communications to better respond to the rapidly changing needs of the marketplace. In the interim, the role will be filled by well-known Sun Peaks representative Christina Antoniak. There is an ongoing search to fill this position on a permanent basis.
Pauline Domanski, a longtime resort employee, moves into the role of sales and marketing specialist. The company also intends to hire a brand and content specialist to better engage with diverse channels available through varied digital platforms.
Each of these positions will work closely with another recent addition to the Sun Peaks team, Lindsey Benson. Benson heads up the graphic design component of the organization and has a diverse background and perspective to help bring the Sun Peaks experience to life in visual formats.
As part of his new role, Kelly will continue to lead the efforts of both the sales and event functions of the organization. The sales area continues to be guided by Aaron Weiss and the event department is anchored by Brooke Madley alongside new hire Cara Karpluk.
