Based on new evidence, Kamloops RCMP have reopened an investigation into the death of a youth at KRCC two years ago.
The serious crime unit is looking into whether foul play was involved in the death of Dylan Levi Judd, 20.
Judd was arrested in Sicamous on Oct. 13, 2014 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and being unlawfully in a dwelling. Less than a month later, prison staff found him unresponsive in his cell and he was pronounced dead.
No cause of death was determined because a 2015 inquest by the B.C. Coroner’s Service was put on hold after it found a need for additional investigation.
Judd’s mother suspects that foul play was behind her son’s death.
