Kamloops RCMP continue to investigate what they believe was a targeted shooting at a residence in the 900 block of 13th Street Wednesday morning, July 27.
Police responded to reports of shots fired around 7:30 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing three suspects running from the residence immediately after. All three were wearing hoodies, but there was no other description available.
No one was injured in the incident. Three suspects were temporarily detained for safety and to answer questions. They were later released.
Police recovered a firearm outside of the residence but have not confirmed whether it was the weapon used to fire on the residence.
The street was cordoned off for most of the morning as an investigation was undertaken. The residence is known to police and it is believed the shooting was targeted. Shots were fired at the same residence on April 29. After obtaining a search warrant a week later, police seized large quantities of drugs and arrested a man believed to have ties to organized crime.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
