A stolen pickup truck that police suspect was used for criminal activity turned up Thursday, Sept. 22, but an investigation continues.
The pickup, stolen Sept. 19, was found abandoned in the area of Tranquille Road and Desmond Street. No arrests have been made in the case at this point.
Earlier in the day, Kamloops RCMP alerted the public to the stolen vehicle. They advised people, if they encountered the truck, to call them and not approach it.
Police had earlier reports indicating the vehicle was possibly used in the commission of numerous thefts from vehicles in the city and surrounding rural areas. In once instance, the male suspect driving the pickup assaulted a bystander who questioned him.
The suspect was described as being approximately five feet, nine inches tall and stocky.
