One dead in Kelowna shooting

Kelowna RCMP have confirmed one man is dead following a report of shots fired on Hein Road Friday morning.

Police say they were called to the home in the 400 block of Hein Road shortly after 6 a.m.

They discovered a 35-year-old man dead inside the home.

“The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit (SCU) has assumed conduct of the ongoing investigation into the man’s death,” says Const. Jesse O’Donaghey.

“The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crimes Unit continue to work closely with the Integrated Forensic Identification Section and the BC Coroners Service."

O'Donaghey says police continue to search for suspects. No arrests have been made.

“RCMP do not believe that this was a random attack."
