KELOWNA — Three masked men broke into a home in the suburb of Glenmore Thursday night, beating an elderly man and two women before stealing several electronic devices.
The violent break-in happened on the 600 block of Denali Court at 9 p.m.
The intruders forced their way into the home and assaulted a 70-year-old man and two women who were inside.
The elderly man sustained serious injuries from the assault, and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
RCMP arrived on scene, set up a containment area and used a police service dog to track the suspects. While police were able to find the stolen items nearby, the thieves were not found.
Police believe the suspects are men in their 20s of average height and build. They were wearing dark clothing, with black masks that were pointed at the top.
Police are asking anyone with information about the break-in to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 260-762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
