Kamloops Chamber of Commerce has a busy month ahead with various events on the business calendar, including its first quarterly luncheon.
The luncheon, featuring Minister of Health Terry Lake and Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Todd Stone as guest speakers, takes place Friday, Feb. 19, in TRU’s Mountain Room. The two MLAs will be speaking on the provincial budget. Tickets are $35. Registration is required by Feb. 12.
Double Tree by Hilton Kamloops is promising a social like no other when chamber members gather at the downtown hotel on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 5-7 p.m. at 339 St. Paul St.
Guests will have a chance to check out the Double Tree’s meeting and conference spaces, which were part of the hotel’s overhaul in 2013. The hotel’s chef, Ken Hueston, a former B.C. Chamber Young Entrepreneur of the Year, will be catering. As well, they’re offering live entertainment throughout the evening and a chance to win prizes as well as opportunities to make meaningful connections.
The socials, held on the first Wednesday of each month, are free for members and $10 for future members.
