There will be lineups and they may be long, but Kamloops Therapeutic Riding Association is back in the saddle today, Sept. 23, with another fundraising food truck festival on a Friday afternoon.
The event takes place from 1-6 p.m. (yes, that’s lunch or dinner this time) at Kamloops Airport (follow the signs). Parking on airport property is free for the event.
After an overwhelming turnout at a similar event last summer, the association has made changes to be sure that KTRA Fall Food Truck Festival is a smoother ride this time around.
The inaugural June event was a success — raising almost $9,000 for KTRA’s work in support of people with disabilities — but couldn’t keep up with the turnout, which made for congested access and lengthy waits for food. That’s why the association is determined to give the idea another shot, cautioning people to be patient this time around.
