On the anniversary of its inception, Kamloops Wine Trail celebrates with an open house this weekend, June 11 and 12, at three local wineries.

“As we move in to our second season for the Kamloops Wine Trail we wanted to acknowledge all those that have supported us over this past year,” said Trish Morelli, executive director for  Kamloops Wineries Association.

“Amidst all the controversy lately over the VQA wine licence at Save-On-Foods, we are really ready to just have some fun wine, country-style, and are excited to invite local Kamloops residents and those visiting our area to come out and join us as we toast a new season.”

Celebrations include complimentary wine tastings, winery tours, great food, music, lawn games and other activities at Harper’s Trail, 2761 Shuswap Rd., Monte Creek Ranch at 2420 Miners Bluff Rd and Privato, 5505 Westsyde Rd.

Guests are encouraged to collect a passport stamp from each winery for a chance to win a fine selection of local product.

The open houses run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
