Gallic greats — French composers of the Romantic and 20th century periods — will be heard Saturday at a City-sponsored concert by the Chamber Musicians of Kamloops.
Two distinguished local musicians, Cvetozar Vutev and Naomi Cloutier, will perform in recital a program of beautiful music for violin and piano by Jean-Marie Leclair, Cesar Franck, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.
The concert takes place Saturday, Aug. 6, 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Presbyterian at 6th and Douglas.
Ranging from the 18th to the 20th century, the program includes Debussy's famous Clair de Lune and Ravel's Spanish-inspired Vocalise, as well as four substantial sonatas for piano and violin.
As one of three such events sponsored by the City of Kamloops this summer, the concert is free.
