March 29, 2016 9:12 A.M.

Casting for extras in local shooting of a Power Rangers feature film takes place Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

While Freeman Casting Company does not specify the movie for which it’s casting next weekend, Thompson Nicola Film Commission confirmed last week that the Power Rangers production currently filming in Vancouver lands here in early April.

The call is for men and women of all nationalities, age 18-45, who wish to appear in a feature film that plans to film in and around Kamloops starting April 12-19. The extra casting session takes place at the Thompson Hotel, 650 Victoria St.

All applicants must be eligible to work legally in Canada. Identification with birthdate is required. Persons hired will be paid an hourly rate around $10.25-$23.39.

If people are unable to attend the casting session but are still interested in being an extra, they can send photos (one headshot, one full body shot) and contact information to kamloopsbg@freemancasting.com.
