The B.C. Business Council is inviting input from local businesses and business leaders on the future of the province’s economy over the next 20 years.
The council holds a workshop called BC2035 on Thursday, Sept. 8, 8 a.m.-noon, at Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre, 1250 Rogers Way.
A nonpartisan, collaborative group that conducts research and lobbies government on business issues, the council is thinking big and looking long term.
“What are the big ideas that will leverage our collective strengths, adapt to global trends and result in the creation of a strong economy and society that will propel our province through the fourth industrial revolution?”
Founded 50 years ago as the Commercial and Industrial Research Foundation, the group changed its name to the business council in 1984 and began working on a broader range of issues, including environmental matters, energy, First Nations, technology and innovation.
