Books & Brews, a non-traditional book club for adults, resumes this fall with a variety of themes.
Organized by the TNRD Library System, the club meets at various locations outside the library to discuss books while enjoying food and drinks.
The group discusses a different topic or genre every month rather than everyone reading the same book. Attendees are asked to read a book related to a monthly theme and come prepared to talk about it in a fun, social atmosphere.
The first meeting will be held from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Frick and Frack Taphouse. The theme is “Revisiting the Classics” in keeping with the start of the school year.
The second meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Brown’s Social House. The theme for this meeting is “Mysteries and Ghost Stories” to celebrate cooler weather and the approach of Halloween.
The third meeting will be held from 6:- 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at McCracken Station Pub. The theme will be “Books Made Into Movies.” Read the book and watch the movie.
Registration is required before each meeting. There is no obligation to attend all meetings. Limited food will be provided. Call the library at 250-372-5145 to register.
