A report of a bomb threat forced police to block access and evacuate Northills Shopping Centre at midday Tuesday.
The unspecified threat originated as a complaint reported to police at 11:40 a.m.
Both access roads on the south side of the mall were temporarily closed off with tape shortly after noon as RCMP investigated the incident. They requested that the public stay clear of the shopping centre to allow the investigation to be completed. A bomb-sniffing dog was brought in to assist.
Police are trying to determine who phoned in the false threat, said Cpl Jodi Shelkie.
