Blazers' season almost here

Intrasquad game set for Sept. 1

Hockey fans in Kamloops wanting to get a look at the latest edition of the WHL’s Blazers will have three opportunities, starting with the annual Blue-White intrasquad game on Sept. 1.
That game will be played in The Sandman Centre. The Blazers’ home arena, now known as Interior Savings Centre, will undergo a name change on Sept. 1.
Game time will be 7 p.m.
The Blazers will play host to two exhibition games, with the Prince George Cougars visiting on Sept. 4 and the Kelowna Rockets here on Sept. 11.
Kamloops will play three road exhibition games, meeting the Giants in Vancouver on Sept. 5, the Rockets in Kelowna on Sept. 12 and the Cougars in Prince George on Sept. 19.
The Blazers are scheduled to open the WHL’s 50th regular season in Kelowna on Sept. 25 with the Rockets playing in Kamloops on Sept. 26.
