A Kamloops construction contractor accused of attempted murder will learn Thursday, July 28, whether he will be released on bail.
Kris Teichrieb, 39, was in provincial court again Thursday, July 21, while his defence team and Crown lawyers submitted arguments and evidence on the alleged beating of Jessie Simpson, 18. The hearing started Monday and concluded Thursday.
The Savona teen remains on life support and in grave condition due to injuries suffered in a June 19 altercation in Brocklehurst.
Teichieb has been in custody at KRCC since his arrest shortly after the altercation. With his parents in the courtroom Thursday, he sat hunched in the prisoner's dock, gazing down at the floor through most of his appearance.
Judge Stephen Harrison has imposed a temporary publication ban on evidence and information brought forward in the case relating to Teichrieb’s application for judicial interim release.
